The Olympic Cafe Established in 1985
There are many places in San Diego to go for Greek cuisine, but none do it better than the Olympic Café. Located in North Park at 2340 University Ave, it has been serving great food and tasty treats since 1985.
No leftovers in their Greek Avgolemono Soup. It’s made fresh, from scratch every day!
And yum…we can tell.
One of our favorites The Chicken Kabob Platter.
Their pita bread has to be the best in San Diego and their Greek style chicken is to die for. If the large quantity of food at a reasonable price isn’t enough, let’s talk about the wonderful homemade desserts by Donna, the owner’s wife.
Baklava to go…we had no room after our great meal. The best Baklava in the county!
Whether you love baklava or prefer carrot cake, you won’t be disappointed. I’ve been enjoying their menu since 1988, and it is one of my top 5 favorite San Diego restaurants. Open daily from 7am to 9pm, stop in and give yourself a treat.
You can always expect some chiding and great conversation when John the owner is around. Here we see John having some fun with a couple of the regulars.Olympic Café 2340 University Avenue, San Diego, CA 92104
