Located on the other side of Windsor Hills, less than 10 minutes away from the quaint and happening Village of La Mesa, Eastridge is a residential community of roughly 530 homes. Eastridge reached its acme of new build homes in the 1960’s, a feature that becomes evident as you drive the neighborhood.
Though the bulk of those homes have been remodeled, sprinkled in among them are some pristine restorations to the mid century style. If you like that clean modern sensibility, Eastridge is a great place to find a home.
Another section of Eastridge with very up to date homes is Serra Mar. These homes were built in the late 1990s and reflect a more modern layout. Whether you like new style or mid century one thing is certain, up here you also get great views of the city and the ocean. Highwood Park is close by for more of the natural beauty in The Jewel of The Hills–La Mesa.
Prices for detached homes in Eastridge start in the mid 400,000’s with median home values at $605,000. Fifty five percent of the homes in Eastridge were built between 1900 and 1969.
Another benefit of living in Eastridge is the highly rated Helix Charter High School.
Tamarind restaurant a great local Thai restaurant. The food there is super fresh, I alway feel like I’m eating healthy when I eat there. From the freshest spring rolls with peanut sauce to traditional Thai desserts like mangos with sweet sticky rice, the food is so good it will make you a regular at this tiny local treasure.
The Riviera Club is another favorite destination restaurant in this neighborhood. They have jazz on the weekends and the food is ala carte. An interesting feature here is you pick out your steak then grill it yourself at the community grill in the center of the restaurant. You will love the classic 60’s supper club vibe at this hotspot.
