Hanging like the Pros
Hanging wall art the way Galleries do really polishes up a room. In the following paragraphs, you will find some tips on giving your space a refined, professional quality.
How To Do It Right the First Time:

Use a Pattern: Stage multiple pictures for a vignette on the floor in the pattern you are going to hang them. One designer I know tapes together brown paper into a large sheetthat is wider and taller then the vignette she plans to hang.

She traces around the pictures when she has put them in a pleasing arrangement. She also draws an “X” for nail holes. Then she tacks the paper to the wall with painters tape and drives in the nails.
Finding a Pleasing Arrangement:
Choose a Pattern: When going for a certain look, it helps to reuse a design that you have seen in a magazine. Here are a few examples of standard groupings.

Use Color:
Tie Frames Together: Using the same color frame can harmonize a variety of sizes and shapes.
Color Repetition:Another key is repeating the frame color or matting color throughout the rest of your room. Your eye will follow the color around the room. Repetition can really add polish.

Enlarge Vignette: Incorporate other items, furniture, statuary, plants and so on to give your vignette a more three dimensional feel.
