Surfing is synonymous with California. So it’s no wonder we San Diegan’s have our very own Surf Museum in Oceanside!
On San Diego FREE Museum Tuesday you can explore the history of surfing at the California Surf Museum, located on Pier View Way in Oceanside, CA.
If you can’t make it on a Tuesday, no worries! For a mere $5.00 per adult (now that’s what I call affordable!) you can enjoy this jewel of a Museum. If you’re a senior you’ll love the price of $3.00 and the free price for those who are 12 and under. With revolving exhibits there is always something new to see. For more information check them out at the California Surf Museum website or keep up what is going on with them on Facebook.
To complete the day pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at the beach or head on over to some of our favorite places for chow in Oceanside. Nom Nom…
The Hill Street Café a Vegan friendly coffee house/restaurant boasting art and great atmosphere. For you non-vegans there is plenty of selections too. Healthy and earth friendly, I love this coffee house located in a late 1800’s built home with yup you guessed it a enclosed wrap around porch! No wonder I like it. Check out the menu at hillst.org.
Another favorite is Terri’s Café. A Hawaiian infused Japanese restaurant. All I can really say about this one is YUM! The new location at S. El Camino Real offers great views too. TerrisCafe.com
